Joint Hardener For Paver Sand & Paver Sealer – With Fungicides!

Joint Stabilizer / Hardener & Paver Sealer is a high performance product designed to harden and consolidate sand in joints and seal the surface of pavers, bricks and concrete. This water based polymer will stabilize the joints, prevent wash-out of the sand and help stop weeds from growing through the joints. The product also acts as a clear sealer to help protect against the weather, water, dirt, freeze thaw damage and staining. Fungicides were added to resist moss, mold, etc. Joint Hardener & Paver Sealer can be applied right after the installation of the pavers and has no odor, is safe to use and cleans up easily with water. The sealer is breathable, so moisture is not trapped in the pavers. It is an exterior and interior product that can be used on new or old pavers, bricks or concrete.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pavers, bricks or concrete must be clean and dry. Remove all dirt, efflorescence, oil and loose debris. A leaf blower is recommended to remove the dust and debris. Sweep dry, properly graded sand into joints and fill to required level slightly below the top of the pavers. (typically 1/8”) Completely remove all remaining sand from the top of the pavers. Apply product with a pump-up sprayer or use low pressure spray equipment, about 15-20 psi. Apply a flood coat to the paver surface including the joints. While surface is still wet, use a foam squeegee and push excess material from the surface of the pavers into the joints. Do not leave excess or pooled material on the surface of the pavers. Product is white but will dry clear to the touch in typically 30-45 minutes depending on temperature. Keep light foot traffic off for 4-6 hours and keep water and heavy traffic off for 24 hours.

Limitations: Do not leave excess or pooled material on the surface of the pavers. Do not apply product to a damp surface. Always do a small test to ensure desired look and performance of the sealer. Do not use on very smooth or polished stone and granite, slate or bluestone. The minimum application temperature is 45 degrees F (7 degrees C) for 24 hours before and after the application. In warm, 90 degree F weather, working time is reduced so apply the product in the cooler morning hours. Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours. In case of rain wait until surface is completely dry before continuing. Surface may slightly darken during excessive applications depending upon porosity of the pavers and application rate.

Shelf Life: Two years in unopened containers. Do not allow stored product to freeze since it is water based.

Coverage:  Concrete & clay pavers: 75-150 sq ft /gal,  Bricks: 150-200 sq ft /gal,  Concrete: 150-200 sq ft/gal,  Coverage rate will depend on texture and porosity of the surface.

Clean Up: Clean up with water before product cures.

Packaging: One gallon units (4/case, 3.8 liters), five gallon pails (18.9 liters) and 55 gallon drums (208 liters)

Cure Time: Keep light foot traffic off for 4-6 hours and heavy traffic off for 24 hours.

Warning: Skin or eye contact may cause irritation. If eye contact occurs, flush will water for 15 minutes. For skin contact, wash with soap and water. Use safety glasses and wear gloves with protective clothing. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not swallow or inhale. Excessive application can cause surface to become slippery when wet.
